Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a very
developed technology that can behave like a human as talking, asking questions
and giving feedback. According to Wikipedia “Artificial intelligence (AI),
sometimes called machine intelligence,
is intelligence demonstrated by machines, in contrast to
the natural intelligence displayed
by humans and other animals.” Now a day’s people are using AI in many sectors
instead of the man. It is also using in teaching and education sector. There
are advantages and disadvantages of using AI technology in education in
Bangladesh.
AI technology may help teacher as a digital
assistant. The students also can be benefited by AI technology. For example,
the students and teachers can get help like grammar and pronunciation
correction from a smart phone. AI may be used instead of teachers as
Bangladeshi teachers are not well trained. Our public examinations like PSC,
JSC, SSC, HSC and job examinations need huge time to publish the result. On the
other hand, AI technology can be used to get the result immediately. Students’
data can be recorded with the help of AI technology.
However, there are some limitations of
AI in Bangladesh. Though AI behaves like a human, it cannot work itself. It has
no creativity. So, it needs to maintain by a human and it needs huge investments
as Bangladesh is a poor country. It may not possible in the rural area of
Bangladesh because of internet and electricity problem.
Though there are some limitations AI technology
has a great importance and potentiality in the education sector of Bangladesh. Now
it is using in many sectors as well as the education of Bangladesh. It is
really helpful for administrations, students and teachers of education sector.
